Procedure for Online submission of application

Online submission of application may be made at website www.ssconline.nic.in

. Detailed instructions are available at the site. Candidate should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign. The filling of online application contains two parts:

For Stenographers (Grade 'C' and Grade 'D') Examination - 2014

          Part I Registration (Closes on 25-06-2014 up to 5:00 pm)
          Part II Registration (Closes on 27-06-2014 up to 5:00 pm)
 

In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.

1. Candidate may press “I agree” button after declaration once he/she finds that information supplied by him/her is in order and no correction is required. Thereafter no correction/modification shall be allowed.
2. When “I agree” button is pressed, a page with Registration No. will be generated. Please note down registration number or take a print out of the page. The application is incomplete without part II registration. Part II registration contains filing procedure of payment details, uploading of photograph, and scanned signature.
3. Candidates who can pay application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank challan.
4. To pay fee in cash, candidate should take printout of challan generated online after completion of part I registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continue with Part II registration.
5. Those who want to pay online through net banking can go directly to part II registration after completion of part I. Candidate will have to supply registration number and date of birth to continue to Part II registration.
6. Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 4 to 6.
7. Then upload a recently taken scanned photograph in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 12 kb and greater than 4 kb and resolution 100 pixel widths by 120 pixels height.
8. Then upload your scanned signature in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 12 kb and greater than 1 kb and resolution 140 pixel widths by 60 pixels height.
9. An email will be sent to your email id informing you that the application has been successfully registered. Registration No, email confirming registration and proof of payment of application fee should be retained by you.
10. Regional offices of the commission have been advised to place details of application numbers, Roll numbers and ticket number of candidates at least one week before the date of the examination. They will also provide the facility of downloading of Admission Certificate (Hall Ticket) from their website. If you do not receive the Admission Certificate within a month of the Examination and are unable to download the Admission Certificate from the Regional website concerned, you must contact the Regional office concerned.   
11. Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

To apply for SCC exam through online they do ask to upload your photograph not less than 4 KB and not more than 12 KB. But we will have our sizes at 45-75 KB. After searching for an hour i have tried all possible ways.



1st method 

 right click on the file.gives u option of open with.if u r win 7 or Vista user then open the file in MICROSOFT OFFICE PICTURE EDITOR .( if u had installed MS-office 2007,u'll get this option )
.later on just click the option EDIT PICTURE . at the right side in middle of the screen u'll find a option to

compress the picture.here u got selection for type of doc.select any one as per your requirement. and click OK. and save as the file in different name. Then see the properties u'll find that the size of picture is reduced


If you don't have such applications combined try next method

2nd Method 

 Use Standalone applications Eg:
 For Windows
 -->WebResizer, AdvanceCOMP ,Caesium ,FileOptimizer

For Linux
 --> Trimage.

If you feel difficult to download and install those softwares as it is a time consuming one then,

3rd Method
Try using MS Paint crop, Shrink and resize
If it does not works then,

You can surely shrink the picture by this method since photos created by scanning was the reason for such heavy weigh

PHOTO SIZE IS NOW NEARLY 16 KB AND WE SHOULD COMPRESS IT TO 12 OR BELOW..

IMAGE IS NOW COMPRESSED TO LESS THAN 12 KB.

NOW NEED TO CONVERT SIGNATURE...

CREATE AN EMPTY PAINT FILE WITH DIMENSIONS 140 X 60 PIXELS

THE SIZE OF SIGN DEPENDS UPON ITS SHAPE.. BUT THE LIMIT IS 60 IN VERTICAL AND LENGTH LIMIT IS MAXIMUM 140 PIXELS IN HORIZONTAL..

NOW BOTH DIMENSIONS ARE WITH IN LIMITS.. SO LETS SAVE IT AS ANOTHER FILE..

SIGNATURE FILE IS ALSO LESS THAN 12 KB IN SIZE.. SO BOTH ARE NOW UPLOADABLE....
